Residential Apartment Fit Outs

3500 sqft

We were thrilled to be invited by this private client to develop a high-end interiors scheme for the exciting refurbishment of an apartment within a period building in Marylebone, London.

Although generous in size, the design of the building itself meant that natural light within the property was somewhat restricted and so from the outset the Konstruct design team set out to maximise the natural light as well as creating the illusion of airiness with artificial lighting.

The overall look for this exquisite home was inspired by the clean lines and gleaming surfaces of classic 1920s art deco styling.  Floating ceilings recreate the look of traditional art deco mouldings while facilitating the installation of LED lighting strips to softly illuminate the living spaces.

The feeling of light and space is further enhanced throughout the property with the careful selection of colours and materials.  A muted palette of taupe, chocolate, grey and petrol blue lends stunning texture while light-reflecting surfaces such as polished porcelain flooring, burnished metal accents and shimmering fabrics such as silk and velvet further add to the decadent feel while bouncing light around.

Nowhere is this more apparent than in the fitted kitchen, where the client opted for a contemporary design in brilliant white for a space that whilst compact, perfectly combines form and function for the stylish city dweller.  By contrast, this deluxe apartment also features a large bespoke fitted dressing room where a masculine feel has been created with dark wood and luxurious leather.

The boutique feel of the property extends beyond the living space itself to the concealed elevator, original staircase and double height vestibule which was also refurbished to the same high standard.
